Who We Are

Greg Kotzbauer, MS, Co-Founder & Board Chairman

Elizabeth Dondero, MSW, Executive Director

Our founding team has spent over 20 years working within healthcare delivery systems, large health insurers, at the state and national policy level, in city government, as social workers, and and in grassroots organizing to advance our health and social care systems towards a system focused on delivering care “About Me” - care and outcomes that matters.

Greg has 20+ years of experience as a CEO, Head of Product, health services researcher, a solutions architect for large healthcare analytics projects. Greg has started four healthcare technology companies, worked for the global consulting firm Accenture, the technology services firm Optum (part of United Healthcare), within pharmaceutical distribution and development teams at Cardinal Health, and as the Managing Director of Strategic Technology Initiatives within the Center for Population Health for the globally renowned Dartmouth Research Institute. Shortly prior to Morph, Greg designed and co-led the transformation of an ambulatory care system into a whole-person care strategy based on the “About Me Care Card” and care model he created.  The model resulted in $2M+ in savings for the health system, a 1290% increase in the adoption of the About Me Care Card in the first nine months post-release, and a return-on-investment (ROI) of greater than 200%.  In his role, Greg created the health system’s analytic model that guided continuous improvement for the care teams and evaluated the on-going ROI of the care model. Greg has also led multiple international research initiatives focused on designing and testing novel approaches to integrating the patient voice into the clinical workflow to optimize care quality and patient outcomes.

Elizabeth has over 20 years of experience as a clinical social worker working for public and private institutions and as an individual practitioner leading her own practice. Her career has centered on providing trauma focused work, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and family systems therapy.  Elizabeth spent ten years in community mental health working with marginalized populations providing mental health support and overseeing treatment programs funded through Medicaid. She trained and supervised clinicians to provide individual and family interventions.  Additionally Elizabeth has worked for the county as a child welfare worker and with the Capitol Defender's office as a mitigation specialist on death penalty cases. As a therapist, Elizabeth is a specialist in addressing a number of the mental health challenges many people face after experiencing some of the most frightening life experiences imaginable, including, but not limited to: trauma, sexual abuse, incest, trafficking, adoption issues, attachment disruptions, depression, anxiety, interpersonal conflict, difficulties with emotion regulation, self harming behaviors, suicidal ideation, parenting and co-parenting difficulties. Elizabeth loves to garden and hang out with her partner and four children.

We are actively recruiting additional board members. Please email Greg at wecare@aboutmeinstitute.org if you are interested in helping us shape and lead the “About Me” mission.
